A weekly video reading of poetry by the poet.

MAXIM
by Aleksey Dayen

Gimme a buck, he said
And I looked into his eyes
and recognized
a poet with whom I performed
a decade ago in an East Village café

His clothes decayed
and his face and his jacket
looked at me with their holes
And I gave him two
and introduced him to my friends
And he said: Maxim

And I felt ashamed
for not remembering his name
